# Medical and dental clinic movers

Clinics have sensitive equipment, confidential records and patients booked weeks ahead. We plan the move around your schedule and your equipment suppliers.

## What we move for clinics

- **Treatment-room furniture**: Exam tables, cabinets, carts and waiting-room furniture.
- **Equipment**: Portable and standalone equipment, padded and moved upright. Equipment that must be disconnected, calibrated or reinstalled by the manufacturer is scheduled with them.
- **Patient records**: Paper files moved in sealed, numbered crates that stay together from door to door.
- **Front desk and IT**: Reception, computers and printers so booking works on the first day.

> Dental chairs, imaging and other installed medical equipment usually need the supplier or a qualified technician to disconnect and reinstall them. We coordinate the move around their visit.

## Keeping records private

In Ontario, clinics are responsible for protecting personal health information under PHIPA. Pack records in lidded crates, seal and number them, keep a list, and have someone from the clinic present when they are loaded and unloaded.

Evening, overnight and weekend work: typically 20 to 40% above the weekday labour rate.
